குன்றத்தூர் 2ம் கட்டளை ராகவேந்திரா நகரை சேர்ந்தவர் செல்லப்பன் (35). கார் டிரைவர். இவரது மனைவி தேவகி (32). 3 குழந்தைகள் உள்ளனர். கடந்த 31ம் தேதி குன்றத்தூர் காவல் நிலையத்தில் தேவகி ஒரு புகார் கொடுத்தார். அதில், ‘எனது கணவர், வீட்டு அருகில் உள்ள முட்புதரில் மர்மமான முறையில் இறந்து கிடக்கிறார்’ என்று கூறியிருந்தார்.

குன்றத்தூர் உதவி கமிஷனர் தெய்வசிகாமணி, இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் அழகு ஆகியோர் சம்பவ இடத்துக்கு சென்று சடலத்தை கைப்பற்றி விசாரணை மேற்கொண்டனர். இதில் துப்பு துலங்கவில்லை.

இதனால் புறநகர் கமிஷனர் ஜாங்கிட் உத்தரவின்படி தனிப்படை அமைக்கப்பட்டு தீவிர விசாரணை நடத்தப்பட்டது. சந்தேகத்தின் அடிப்படையில் தேவகியிடம் தனிப்படை போலீசார் துருவி துருவி விசாரணை நடத்தினர். முன்னுக்குப்பின் முரணாக பேசிய அவர், தனது கள்ளக்காதலுக்கு இடையூறாக இருந்ததால் காதலனுடன் சேர்ந்து கணவனை கொலை செய்ததாக ஒப்புக் கொண்டார்.

தேவகியின் வாக்குமூலம் பற்றி போலீஸ் தரப்பில் தெரிவித்ததாவது:
எனக்கும் எதிர் வீட்டில் வசிக்கும் கொத்தனார் வேலை செய்யும் சுந்தர் (32) என்பவருக்கும் கடந்த 6 மாதமாக கள்ளத் தொடர்பு ஏற்பட்டது. அவருக்கும் திருமணமாகி 2 குழந்தைகள் உள்ளனர்.

எங்கள் தொடர்பு என் கணவருக்கு தெரியவே கண்டித்தார். அதனால் அவரை தீர்த்துக்கட்ட இருவரும் முடிவு செய்தோம். அதற்கான நாளை எதிர்பார்த்து இருந்தோம்.

கடந்த 30ம் தேதி இரவு வீட்டில் என் கணவர் படுத்து தூங்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தார். சுந்தரை நள்ளிரவில் வீட்டுக்கு வரவழைத்தேன். பெட்ஷீட்டால் கணவரது முகத்தை மூடினோம். பின் கழுத்தை நைலான் கயிற்றால் இறுக்கி கொலை செய்து, யாருக்கும் தெரியாமல் முட்புதரில் வீசிவிட்டு திரும்பினோம். காலையில் ஒன்றும் தெரியாததுபோல, கணவரை யாரோ கொலை செய்து முட்புதரில் வீசிவிட்டதாகக் கூறினேன்.

Shiney's maid takes U-turn, says she was never raped

In a twist in the sensational rape case involving Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja, his maid has backtracked from her allegations that he raped her at his residence here last year and said the incident never occurred.

The 20-year-old girl appeared before a court on September 3, and said that she was never raped by Shiney and that she had filed the complaint against the actor at the behest of the woman who had secured her the job of a maid in Ahuja's residence.

In June last year, the girl had lodged a police complaint alleging that she was raped by the actor at his residence.Shiney was subsequently arrested on June 14 and was released on bail three months later.

"On September 3, the victim identified Shiney in the court and said she used to work at his residence as a domestic help.

Col, wife cooked up sex charge against general

Investigations into sexual harassment allegations levelled against a senior Army general by a colonel's wife have taken a sensational new twist.

A court of inquiry (COI) into the allegations against Army's engineer-in- chief Lt-Gen A K Nanda has exonerated him, while recommending disciplinary action against Colonel C P S Pasricha, who accused the general of sexually harassing his wife.

According to sources, the COI headed by Lt-Gen A S Lamba, chief of the Shimla-based Army Training Command, submitted its report over a week ago. The inquiry panel, which included a senior Army woman doctor, found that allegations against Nanda were unsubstantiated and inconsistent. More importantly, the COI found that Pasricha and his wife had made a similar allegation against another Army officer in the past.

The report is presently being scrutinized by Army authorities in Western Command. Sources said once the Army chief approves the COI report, action will be taken.

According to sources, the COI has recommended that Pasricha be counselled for making the allegations. In Army, counselling is taken as a disciplinary measure and involves formally telling the relevant officer that he has committed a mistake and a repeat would be severely punished. The counselling is also entered in the officer's service records.

Pasricha, who was serving as technical secretary to Nanda, alleged that the general tried to sexually harass his wife when they were on a trip to Israel in May. The allegation, which came at a time when the armed forces were having to grapple with other controversies, left the Army red-faced and the general distraught.

Pasricha had alleged that the incident took place when Nanda, his wife, the colonel and his wife were visiting Israel in May. During the course of the probe, the COI had approached Israelis for further inputs but they politely told the investigators that Tel Aviv did not keep an eye on its friends. And the hotel's CCTV recordings had automatically been erased after three days.

An Indian military officer posted in Israel who was coordinating the visit of the delegation told the COI that on the day of the alleged incident, Pasricha and his wife went pub hopping for several hours after the incident allegedly took place. After the alleged incident, the two families had together taken a vacation in Egypt, the inquiry found.

கோவை குனியமுத்தூரைச் சேர்ந்தவர் ஸ்வீட்டி (32) (பெயர் மாற்றப்பட்டுள்ளது). கணவர் வெளிநாட்டில் வேலை பார்ப்பதால், பெற்றோருடன் வசிக்கிறார். தனக்கு தெரிந்த வாலிபர் ராகுலுடன் (26) (பெயர் மாற்றப்பட்டுள்ளது) மொபைல் போனில் அடிக்கடி தொடர்பு கொண்டு குழையக் குழைய பேசியுள்ளார். அவளது பேச்சில் தன்னை பறிகொடுத்த வாலிபர், நேரில் சந்திக்க வேண்டும் என பலமுறை வேண்டுகோள் விடுத்தும், பிடி கொடுக்காமல் இன்னொரு சந்தர்ப்பத்தில் சந்திக்கலாம் என காலம் கடத்தியுள்ளார். தன்னுடன் பேசுவது யார் என்று தெரிந்து கொள்ளாமலே காதலில் விழுந்த வாலிபர், திருமணம் செய்தே ஆக வேண்டுமென ஒற்றைக்காலில் நின்றுள்ளார். இதை உறுதி செய்த ஸ்வீட்டி தன்னை பெண் பார்க்க வருமாறு சென்னைக்கு அழைத்துள்ளார்.

He said he wanted to become famous for his political achievements. But yesterday a Tory MP was thrown into the spotlight for a very different reason – after his wife of seven years was exposed as a £70-an-hour prostitute.

Mike Weatherley, 53, was one of the new wave of MPs who came to power with Prime Minister David Cameron earlier this year.

The father-of-three took his blonde wife to functions in the run-up to the General Election, and just two months ago she was photographed visiting the Houses of Parliament.

But it was revealed by a Sunday newspaper that 39-year-old Carla has also been busy plying her trade in three different 'massage parlours', under the names Bea, Adriana and Bianca.

The lorry driver's daughter, who is alleged to have worked as a prostitute in her native Brazil before marrying Mr Weatherley, was caught on camera performing a sexy striptease in pink and black polka dot underwear for an undercover reporter.

She said she worked in three brothels and charged £70 an hour for sex. 'I like it here, nice clients, nice people, nice place and good money,' she told the Sunday Mirror.

The shocking revelation is bound to prove an embarrassment to Mr Cameron, who is pictured smiling at Mr Weatherley's side on the MP's personal website.

The couple are understood to have met in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, while business executive Mr Weatherley was on a work trip.

They married in Brighton in 2003. It was the MP's second marriage and, at the time, the new Mrs Weatherley's occupation was listed as 'housewife'.

She is reported to have gone home to Brazil in 2007, returning two years later when her husband asked her to assist him ahead of his election campaign.

But that was a decision Mr Weatherley may have been regretting yesterday. The MP, who insists that he has been separated from his wife since February this year, wept when approached at his home in Brighton yesterday.

He said he had no idea that Mrs Weatherley had been selling her body, but claimed they had remained good friends since their separation.

'I am still very shocked by the news and am trying to come to terms with it,' he said. 'I do have proof that we have been separated since February which I can show if needed.'





He began sobbing as he added: 'I will speak to Carla but today I just need to be with my family.' It is a humiliating blow for the MP and his party.

Tory activists shunned a string of candidates put forward by Conservative Central Office for the crucial Hove constituency in favour of Mr Weatherley.

Soon after winning the seat in May's General Election, the MP declared that the politician he most admired was Lembit Opik, 'not really because of his policies but the way he got notoriety with ease'.

He added that he would prefer any fame of his own to be for political successes. But as news of his wife's work emerged yesterday, sources described Mr Weatherley as 'a bit of a party boy who loves his women'.

One said: 'He was a guest on a BBC show following the election and could not keep his eyes off a leggy Russian. 'After the show was over he made a beeline straight for her and asked her out for a drink.'

The MP, who has a tattoo reading 'Live for the moment', lists Rio de Janeiro as his favourite holiday location, and counts Iron Maiden among his favourite bands. He has even combined the two, apparently following Iron Maiden to Brazil on one trip.





Earlier this year, Mr Weatherley - who is a qualified ski instructor and football referee - also stated that his ambition for his first term in Parliament was to be the Parliamentary champion of film and music.

A qualified chartered and management accountant, he is a former financial controller of the Pete Waterman Group and in 2007 became Vice President (Europe) for the Motion Picture Licensing Company.

He was a councillor in Crawley before being selected as Parliamentary Candidate for Hove and Portslade in 2006.

On his website, he declares he is 'single (separated)' and he has three grown-up children: Mark, Chris and Becky.

இதுகுறித்து நகர துணை போலீஸ் கமிஷனர் நாகராஜூவிடம் புகார் செய்தார். அவரது உத்தரவின் பேரில் நேமம் இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் வழக்குப்பதிவு செய்து மோளி, ரெஜி உள்ளிட்ட 5 பேரையும் கைது செய்தார்.

Judge abused in open court over life term to Naxal

Braving pandemonium and abusive words being hurled at him by advocates, a special judge for TADA cases delivered a verdict on Friday, convicting a Naxal leader accused of involvement in a 1992 rail track blast case and awarding him life imprisonment.

As soon as special judge K Dakshinamoorthy started reading out the judgment in the open court and it became clear that Naxal leader V Sundaramoorthy was to be awarded life imprisonment, the latter's counsel Sankarasubbu sprang up and started protesting.

Hurling a volley of filthy and abusive words at the judge, counsel questioned as to how the judge could proceed to deliver the verdict without affording an opportunity to the accused to plead for minimum sentence. Sankarasubbu also said it was unfair to award the life imprisonment to Sundaramoorthy as the main accused in the case, Sisubalan, was given only five-year rigorous imprisonment in October 2003. Citing Supreme Court rulings, he said courts could not award different sentences to different people facing the same set of charges in the same case.

The judge rushed back to his chambers and locked himself in, even as the abuses continued. After some time, a police team led by an assistant commissioner arrived and escorted him away.

The matter relates to the October 5, 1992, crude bomb blast on the rail track between Dharmapuri and Palakkod railway stations. A major tragedy was averted as the public alerted railway officials, who stopped oncoming trains at Palakkod railway station.

Special public prosecutor V Manokaran said the Q Branch police had registered cases against three persons Velu, Sisubalan and Sundaramoorthy. While Velu is absconding, Sisubalan was arrested, tried and convicted for the offence. He completed his term and was released. Sundaramoorthy was arrested on July 10, 2007, nearly 15 years after the blast.

On Friday, the special judge found Sundaramoorthy guilty on six counts for offences punishable under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act 1987, the Explosive Substances Act and the Indian Penal Code. The sentences included life term on five counts, and seven-year imprisonment on one count.

Taking a stern view of the offence, the judge said in his order that imposition of sentence without considering its effect on the social order in many cases may be in reality a futile exercise. "Any liberal attitude by imposing meagre sentences or taking too sympathetic a view merely due to lapse of time in respect of such offences would be counter-productive in the long run and against societal interest, which needs to be cared for," he said, adding that the court would be failing in its duty if the appropriate punishment was not awarded for a crime which has been committed not only against individual victims but also against society to which the criminal as well as the victim belong.
